Aha! Notebooks — the new way to centralize product information — empowers you to stay organized and jumpstart productivity. Aha! Notebooks is offered as a standalone digital product. But if you are already using Aha! Roadmaps, all functionality included in the Aha! Notebooks Advanced plan is included in your subscription at no cost — so you can use Aha! Notebooks' powerful note, whiteboard, and collaboration tools without leaving Aha! Roadmaps.

You can share the notes and whiteboards included in Aha! Notebooks with guests outside of your account to collaborate. But sometimes you need to work more closely on documents with colleagues, and it would be helpful for them to be able to also create their own documents and be part of your account — without them needing to access all of the Aha! Roadmaps functionality. You can add Aha! Notebooks users to your Aha! Roadmaps account that have access to only Aha! Notebooks functionality — so they can collaborate with you on documents within your account without becoming full Aha! Roadmaps users.

Keep track of everything

Create as many notes as you need. Build out a centralized information hub in your workspace that is easy to access for everyone on the team. Add a date to a note to add it to the personal calendar view on the My work page for anyone who is watching it — so the notes you need for any given date will be ready at hand.

Collaborate seamlessly

Your entire team can access and edit whiteboards or notes for a brainstorming session. Collaborate in real time or asynchronously to gather input, refine concepts, and align on the best path forward. You can even promote whiteboard objects to records in your Aha! account so you can follow up on the most actionable concepts that came out of your brainstorming session.

Do I need to make a new account to use Aha! Notebooks?

No — your Aha! Roadmaps account includes the Aha! Notebooks Essentials plan at no extra cost. But you can add documents-only users to your Aha! Roadmaps account.

How do I access Aha! Notebooks from my Aha! Roadmaps account?

The notes and whiteboards available in Aha! Notebooks are already integrated into your Aha! Roadmaps account through workspace notes and your personal notes on the My work page. But you will find Aha! Notebooks functionality built in alongside other Aha! Roadmaps functionality that you use every day. For example, you can embed whiteboards in feature and initiative descriptions to add additional context to your strategy and work.

Access workspace notes and whiteboards

Navigate to Notebook Documents in a workspace to access the workspace's notes and whiteboards.

Access personal notes and whiteboards

Click your profile picture in the upper right corner and select My work to access personal notes and your Calendar view.

Add whiteboards to features and initiatives

Use the Aha! text editor to embed a whiteboard into any feature or initiative description. Just click + and select Whiteboard from the text editor's toolbar.

Need to get all of your product documentation into your Aha! Roadmaps account — so you can centralized hub for product information? You can import documents from Confluence or import a CSV into your account in just a few easy steps.

Aha! Notebooks add-on users

Building lovable products and bringing them to market is always a cross-functional effort. In fact, you work with a broad range of stakeholders who contribute to your products' success. You can invite external stakeholders into your Aha! account but adjust the amount of internal data they can access, so you can give them the exact context they need to collaborate effectively with your team.

Add your colleagues on to your Aha! Roadmaps account as add-on users — so they can see and access only the documents and data that they need to effectively collaborate with your team. These add-on users will only have access to workspace notes and documents in your Aha! account, plus the ability to create their own personal notes and whiteboards.

The Aha! Notebooks Advanced plan brings vital stakeholders alongside Aha! Roadmaps users in notes and whiteboards. You can get to select how much of your Aha! Roadmaps account Notebooks Advanced users can see — select in user permissions if an individual user can see Notebooks or All navigation in your account:

• Notebooks: Users will use a workspace selector in the upper left of their screen to switch between personal and workspace documents.

• All: Users can view the full Aha! Roadmaps navigation and view (but not edit) records within your account. Additionally, they can add comments to workspace notes, create new documents, and assign to-dos.
