But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind… Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. ~Luke 14
We are about to embark on a journey and would like to invite you to go on it with us. A couple of years ago I had a vision. In my mind I pictured women who were usually working for money on the streets of our city at night, dining at a large banquet table. The girls were all divinely dressed, laughing, and enjoying the Goodness of God. I saw the tables on the streets where onlookers watched curiously. The viewers were wondering why these women, who were considered dirty, were being spoiled with kindness. Then I saw Jesus sitting among them laughing and having a good time. These are ones that I believe Jesus loves.
He brought me to His banqueting table and
his banner over me is love. ~Song of Solomon 2:4
We are in the final stages of making this dream come true. We are putting together our first Banquet of Love to be held at “the Castle” as it called. It will be held this coming January. We are planning to have about 10-20 ladies attend. We will be taking them throughout the week to be pampered, measured and fitted for dresses, to get manicures and pedicures, and lastly the banquet.
The dresses will probably be the most expensive part of the banquet but in my opinion, the most important. The dress is to signify how they are treasured and seen in heaven. They are to leave their old clothes, a symbol of who they once were behind, only to be robed in royalty, to know they are valued and loved beyond what they have done. Our dream is that this dress will leave with them at the end of the night as a surprise. They will not know that it will be theirs to keep. It is a secret…hehehe.
Again the goal of this special time is to just love and honor these precious women, just as we believe that Jesus would and does. Our only agenda is to love them, and allow them to encounter the lavish love of Father God. There are no strings attached. We will not be preaching at them or trying to convert them. We will however be speaking who they are destined to be and how Jesus sees them. We will also doing various types of prophetic ministry for them. There will be prophetic art, music, dancing, etc.
Love never fails. ~1 Corinthians 13:8
We need your help to provide memorable experiences for these precious women. We will need to cover the cost of the facility, dresses, food, pampering, decorations, transportation. We want to bless these precious ladies and show them the extravagant love of our heavenly Father.
We will need funds in the next few weeks to ensure everyone is paid for. We estimate the total cost for each woman to be about $75. Would you prayerfully consider sponsoring one or more women and giving to make this banquet possible? As a reminder any donations made to us through Hands That Touch, will be tax deductible.
